Hi folks, new guy here. Stumbled across this a week ago and been busy re-learning Redhat/Fedora ever since. Seems similar in execution to some of the Debian derivatives like Mint or Ubuntu, including proprietary blobs and other facilities to make Linux useful to the average Joe. Even today in late 2016, the base distros from Redhat and Debian still seem way too difficult and time-consuming to get fully up to speed on typical hardware with all the necessary drivers, etc.

    Nice job!

Thanks ace and welcome to Chapeau.

Try Chapeau Linux with the Cinnamon desktop, closest thing to Mint I can think of. I run it as my desktop of choice.
